Man Robbed, Beaten: An Irvine man, attacked and robbed of about $600 in cash by two men in his garage, was in stable condition Wednesday at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. Dean Hyatt, 40, was accosted when he arrived home in the village of Northwood at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, Police Sgt. Dick Bowman said. The robbers beat Hyatt with clubs and took his briefcase and wallet, Bowman said. The robbers were described as white and 20 to 30 years old. One was about 6 feet, 2 inches, 190 pounds, with dark hair, and was wearing dark shorts and a light T-shirt. The other was about 5 feet, 9 inches with a dark complexion, shoulder-length dark hair and a slim build. He was wearing dark clothing, Bowman said.
