Fireworks Sales Approved: The Fourth of July will once again arrive with fireworks in Placentia. The City Council has approved a request from nonprofit groups that they be permitted to set up a maximum of 12 booths throughout the city to sell fireworks, Deputy City Clerk Betty Wallis said. In 1976, Placentia residents voted to allow sales of fireworks, a practice that is banned in many Orange County communities.
