Romania Fires Official

BUCHAREST, Romania —
A deputy minister was fired and 14 other officials were disciplined for using company funds to build recreation facilities for their own use, the Communist Party daily Scinteia reported Wednesday. A party communique said Gheorghe Sava was removed as deputy minister of the chemical industry and as director of the Chimpex trade firm in the Black Sea port of Constanta.
