An office building without central heating or air-conditioning has been completed in Geneva, the builders said Wednesday.

The Geilinger company, after seven years of research, built the multistory building made mainly of glass in cooperation with Swiss federal energy agencies.

Use of double windows, each divided into three sections and coated with a silicon film developed in California, prevents both the escape of heat and penetration of cold, the builders said.

Human heat and machines such as computers and electric typewriters provide sufficient warmth in the building with automatic recycling of air, they said.
