Disappearances Denied

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — The Foreign Ministry strongly denied the disappearances of 58 dissidents since 1981, a claim made by the International Human Rights League in New York this week. The league has asked the United Nations to order an official investigation of the alleged disappearances.
