McHale Is More Than Just a Pretty Face

I should not have been surprised by Jim Murray’s recent article on Kevin McHale. I mean--this is L.A. It was too much to expect an in-depth article. Laker fans must be more concerned with appearances. Refresh my memory. When did Rambis win his last beauty pageant?

Since there was nothing for Murray to criticize in McHale’s basketball abilities, he was reduced to criticizing the superficial--McHale’s appearance. True basketball fans appreciate a player for his skills. That’s why Boston Celtic fans will choose McHale over any pretty face.
