A Lynwood woman was swept to her death over a 595-foot waterfall in Yosemite National Park, park officials reported. The victim was identified as 27-year-old Sonia Casares. “She was floating in a pool 125 feet upstream from Nevada Fall when she was caught by the currents and carried over the fall,” said park spokeswoman Sharon Johnson. Casares had been in the park for several days with a Seventh-Day Adventist church group from Glendale. She was accompanied by her husband, Jazier, 8-month-old son and two sisters.
