Illegal fireworks valued at more than $250,000 have been seized by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Authorities said 35,000 pounds of fireworks, including 1,200 cases of bottle rockets, were found in a 40-foot trailer parked in Bell. Bottle rockets are considered one of the chief causes of roof-top fires during the Fourth of July holiday, according to officials, who said they were looking for the owner of the illegal fireworks stash.
