The City Council has voted to subsidize the increase in monthly bus passes for senior citizens and the handicapped. Passes will be sold for $4 each at City Hall, 8611 Santa Monica Blvd.
Rapid Transit District passes are scheduled to increase to $7 on July 1, but the city agreed to pick up the increased cost for seniors and handicapped riders from West Hollywood. The discount passes will be sold only by the city, not by the RTD.
