Chris-Craft Industries and United Television said they were postponing indefinitely their efforts to implement an agreement in principle announced in November, 1984, for the combination of the two television stations--including KCOP Channel 5 in Los Angeles--owned by BHC Inc., Chris-Craft’s majority owned subsidiary, with the four television stations owned by United Television. BHC, whose other television station is in Portland, Ore., also owns 50.3% of the outstanding common stock of United Television. United Television owns television stations in Minneapolis/St. Paul, San Antonio, Salt Lake City and San Francisco.
