Spies’ Trials to Be in 3 Cities

United Press International

The Justice Department said today that the espionage trials of the four men charged in the alleged Walker family Soviet spy ring will be held in three cities: Baltimore, Norfolk and San Francisco.

John Russell, a department spokesman, said the government has decided that the ring did not involve a conspiracy among the four men and that three of the men were unaware of others’ agreement to supply classified information to the Soviets through John Walker, the accused spy chief.
