Bob Thomas & Associates, a public relations firm based in Redondo Beach, announced the sale of its BTA Communications Inc. subsidiary to Davis, Johnson, Mogul & Colombatto. Terms were not disclosed. DJMC, a Los Angeles-based advertising agency, said a new company, Gelman & Gray Communications, will be formed as a result of the acquisition. Chuck Gelman will be president and chief executive, and Rosalind Gray, formerly with the Bob Thomas company, has been named executive vice president. An earlier edition incorrectly identified DJMC as a public relations firm.
