Work has started on two U. S. Navy buildings in San Diego valued at a total of about $17.5 million.

The projects include the seven-story, 73,500-square-foot Applied Instruction Building for the Fleet Training Center and the new, four-story, 160,000-square-foot barracks at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot.

The Applied Instruction Building is scheduled for completion next January and the barracks by November, 1986.
