A 12-year-old San Bernardino County boy suffering from hemophilia died of complications from AIDS. He was one of nearly 100 children across the country who have died of the disease, officials said. Benjamin Andrade of San Bernardino had been battling acquired immune deficiency syndrome for 18 months when he died at Kaiser Foundation Hospital of Fontana, officials said. His mother said doctors told her they first believed the disease was contracted from the numerous blood transfusions the boy required for hemophilia, but later decided he was more likely to have been infected through a blood-clotting agent used to combat hemophilia.
