House Committee Votes to Extend Daylight Time

WASHINGTON —
The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted Tuesday to extend daylight-saving time to save energy and provide more time for outdoor activities.
The measure, approved by voice vote, would begin daylight time on the first Sunday in April and end it on the first Sunday in November. Daylight time now begins on the last Sunday in April and ends on the last Sunday in October.
