Davina Lane has been appointed senior vice president of marketing and communications for General Medical Centers, an Anaheim health maintenance organization. Lane was senior vice president of planning and development for the western region of CIGNA Healthplans of California. Brian C. Smith was promoted to vice president of marketing.
The Sammis Co. of Irvine has named Michael M. Fagan vice president-investments. Fagan, 26, was vice president for the Grubb & Ellis real estate investment banking group before joining Sammis, a real estate development and investment firm.
Gary M. Ernst has been named vice president and chief operating officer of Microgon Inc. of Laguna Hills, a manufacturer of microfiltration systems. Ernst, 42, had been director of operations for Sutter Biomedical in San Diego.
Rune Hedstrom has been appointed assistant to President Robert C. Derifield of Noland Paper Co. in Buena Park. Hedstrom, 64, was marketing manager and has been with the paper distributing firm for 27 years.
Professional Community Management of California has named Sandy Meyer property manager, where she will be responsible for services for seven community homeowner associations, and Michael W. Vandor was appointed general manager at Leisure Village Ocean Hills in Oceanside. PCM of California is an El Toro company that manages condominiums and planned communities.
Kevin C. Daly has joined Odetics Inc. as director of space systems for the Anaheim electronics manufacturer. Daly had been in charge of the control and dynamics division at Charles Stark Draper Laboratory Inc. of Cambridge, Mass.
Richard H. Carr has been promoted to assistant vice president-finance for Westar Associates of Costa Mesa, a shopping center developer. Succeeding him as controller will be Charles W. Pillon, who was a certified public accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. in Newport Beach.
Daniel C. Barber has joined First American Title Insurance Co. of Santa Ana as vice president and manager for Alpine, Amador and Calaveras counties. Barber, 33, was manager of Placer Title Insurance Co. in Woodland.
Richard M. Doherty has been named president and chief operating officer of World Wide Group Inc., a Newport Beach firm that develops, markets and manages resort and time-share properties. Doherty, 42, had been executive director of Cox, Castle & Nicholson, a Los Angeles real estate law firm.
