‘Reagan as 41st Hostage’

It is about time that Conrad and his colleagues recognize that the Star of David is a symbol of religious and historical significance to millions of people in this country as well as elsewhere in the world. To use the Star of David to suggest that the President of the United States is being held hostage by the Jewish people--which is exactly what the cartoon suggests, regardless of what Conrad’s intended “message” may have been--is religious bigotry of the lowest order.
