A lock-down was ordered at maximum-security Folsom Prison after two inmates were stabbed in the back in separate incidents 20 minutes apart. A prison spokesman said the stabbings were believed to be part of the continuing racial strife between black and Latino inmates. The victims, both black, were listed in stable condition at local hospitals. The spokesman said the lock-down was ordered in hopes it would cool off the situation. Inmate-made knives were recovered in both stabbings, he said. There have been 125 stabbing incidents at the prison this year.
