A Providence, R.I., couple who said their infant daughter was kidnaped and went on television last Nov. 11 to plead for her safe return have been indicted on charges stemming from the baby’s rape and murder, according to an unidentified source close to the case. Ralph G. Richard, 34, will turn himself in after a grand jury formally reports out the indictment today, his mother, Audrey McGowan of Attleboro, Mass., said. The Providence County grand jury weighing evidence in the rape and bludgeoning death of 4-month-old Jerri Ann will hand up an indictment charging Richard and his wife, Donna, the source said.
