95 Dead in Chinese Coal Mining Accidents

Mining accidents in the first three months of 1985 claimed 95 lives in the Shaoguan coal-mining area of southern China’s Guangdong province, the official China Daily reported Friday.
Casualties were highest in individually owned small mines, where 70 died, the report said.
