Actor Dan Haggerty, who starred as Grizzly Adams on television, pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to file federal income tax returns for 1978 and 1981. Assistant U.S. Atty. David Nimmer said Haggerty, 41, earned a total of $563,564 during those two years. U.S. Magistrate John R. Kronenberg set an Oct. 11 sentencing date for Haggerty to give him time to file his tax returns and determine how much he actually owes the government. Haggerty faces a possible two-year prison term on the tax charges. In April, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail on state cocaine charges; he has remained free pending appeal.
