Sun said it expects flat second-quarter earnings.

The Radnor, Pa.-based oil company told securities analysts in New York that strong results in its refining and marketing operations were undermined by lower earnings from exploration and production. Sun expects its third-quarter earnings to rise by 8% to 10% due to stock repurchases.
