The car owned by television director and bridge expert Barry Crane, who was found bludgeoned to death Friday in his Studio City town house, has been found, but police are not releasing information on a possible motive or suspect in the case, detectives said Tuesday.

Crane’s 1984 Cadillac, which was missing when police discovered his body, was found Monday along a road in Frazier Park in Los Padres National Forest, just west of Gorman on Interstate 5, Detective Ron LaRue of the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Police would not say if any clues were found in the car.

Crane, 57, was an internationally known bridge champion and directed many television shows, including episodes of “Dallas,” “Mission: Impossible” and “Mannix.”
