Sahara Rebels Report Killing 86 Moroccans

PARIS —
Algerian-backed guerrillas fighting to end Moroccan administration in the Western Sahara said Wednesday that they killed more than 86 Moroccan troops in fierce fighting Sunday.
In a statement issued by the Algerian press agency, the Polisario Front said it attacked five Moroccan positions near Oum Dreiga, situated between Guelta Zammour and the Atlantic coast. No mention was made of any rebel casualties, and the claim could not be independently confirmed.
