About half the inmates in Folsom Prison were locked in their cells after the third fatal stabbing of the year. Lt. T. J. Smith said Daniel Torres, 30, serving 11 years for rape in Los Angeles County, was fatally stabbed as he walked along a tier in a general housing unit. It was the 132nd stabbing incident at the prison this year. Smith said there were no known suspects. The prison was locked down, except for inmates on work assignments, represententing about half of the prison population.
