Kaye Lange, member of the Landlord-Tenant Mediation and Arbitration Board and a community activist, has announced that she is running for City Council.

Lange, who has served on the Planning and Human Relations commissions, chaired the Landlord-Tenant Mediation and Arbitration Board for two years.

She said she is running for council because she is concerned about congestion in the city. Traffic has become particularly stressful, she said.

“I am concerned that tall buildings will block the morning sun coming through our kitchen windows and give our neighborhood the feeling of isolation. I want to do everything possible to present this,” she said.

Lange is a member of the Friends of the Library, the Culver City Education Foundation and the Culver City Tournament of Roses Commission.

Elections will be held next April.
