Turks Sentence 11 Kurds Seeking Separate State

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey —
A martial-law court has sentenced 10 convicted Kurdish separatists to death and another to life imprisonment, the semiofficial Anatolia news agency reported Thursday.
The 11 were convicted of belonging to an outlawed organization that seeks to establish a separate Marxist state in southeastern Turkey. Its terrorist activities included several killings, the agency said.
