David Crosby is a man filled with contradiction (“Crosby Singing Those Old Jail House Blues Again,” by Dennis Hunt, June 30).

He states that he is not a criminal and that he is a harmless, fairly intelligent guy. Since 1982, he has been arrested numerous times for charges dealing with disturbing the peace and illegal drug and weapons possession.

If that doesn’t sound criminal, I don’t know what does. When asked why he has had so many scrapes with the law, his response was, “I don’t know.” He doesn’t sound too bright either.
