Unocal cut the price that it will pay for crude oil.

The Los Angeles-based oil company said it dropped the price that it will pay for West Texas Intermediate, the benchmark domestic crude, by 25 cents to $27.25 a barrel effective July 8. The company said the reduction reflects market conditions.
