Zenith Electronics Sells TV Monitors to Chinese

GLENVIEW, Ill. — Zenith Electronics Corp. said it sold about $3 million of its projection television monitors to Shanghai Instrumentation & Electronics Corp. of the Peoples Republic of China.
“To our knowledge, this will be the first U.S. shipment of consumer electronics products to Shanghai,” said Robert B. Hansen, Zenith executive vice president and group executive.
It said shipments are expected to begin in December.
