Chrysler will boost prices on next year’s models.

The auto maker said it will increase its car prices by an average of between 2% and 3%. The company’s announcement, which didn’t provide any further details, was in line with a move by General Motors to increase its prices by more than 3% on some 1986 model compact cars. Chrysler said it will report its specific price increases at the start of the 1986 model year this fall.
