The ABC Unified School District Board of Education has approved a $462,983 contract for a Yorba Linda company to remodel and construct science labs at the district’s five high schools. Dewco Construction and Development Co. is expected to start work by the end of summer. Science labs will either be built or remodeled at Artesia, Cerritos, Gahr, Whitney and Tracy high schools. The construction is part of a district effort to upgrade its science curriculum and meet the state’s new high school graduation requirement of an additional year of science.
