NOW Will Conduct Pro-Choice Campaign

NEW ORLEANS — The National Organization for Women today announced a six-month campaign to “mobilize the pro-choice majority” of the country and thwart efforts to outlaw abortions.
NOW President Judy Goldsmith, announcing plans to collect 1 million signatures on pro-choice petitions, said the Reagan Administration and other opponents, “can never stop abortion. They can only make it illegal and deadly once again.”
