Times Benefit to Feature Olympic Film

The Times will sponsor, as a benefit for The Times Fund, a special premiere showing Monday night, July 29, of the official film of the 1984 Olympic Games. The film, entitled, “16 Days of Glory,” and produced by Bud Greenspan, will be shown at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Athletes scheduled to be in attendance are Carl Lewis, Rowdy Gaines, Peter Vidmar, Mitch Gaylord, Paul Gonzales, Evelyn Ashford, Greg Louganis, John Moffet and Valerie Brisco-Hooks. Each is in the 2-hour 20-minute film.

Tickets for the premiere, proceeds of which go to benefit The Times charity for underprivileged children in Southern California, may be purchased by contacting The Times Special Events Dept.
