4 Businesses, 2 of Them U.S., Bombed in Chile

SANTIAGO, Chile —
Bombs exploded outside the offices of two American and two other foreign-owned businesses in the Chilean capital, slightly injuring a watchman at one of them, police said Thursday.
The attacks Wednesday night shattered windows and damaged furniture at the Santiago offices of ITT, a branch of Chase Manhattan Bank, the South African mining firm Anglo-American and the fishing company Pesquera Guanaye. The injured guard was on duty at Anglo-American.
