Gordon King, a tackle with the New York Giants, has filed suit against the team’s former doctor, Kim Sloan, claiming the doctor’s negligence in repairing King’s fractured forearm has hurt the player’s career and private life. King’s suit, filed last week in Bergen County Superior Court, charges that in setting King’s fracture, Sloan “improperly screwed the plate in, almost assuring the arm would not heal.” As a result, the suit said, King, 29, needed another operation, was forced to miss the 1984 season and willhave trouble making the team this year.
