The House passed a bill allowing pictures and descriptions of missing children to appear on millions of pieces of official government mail. Sen. Howard M. Metzenbaum (D-Ohio), a prime sponsor of the bill, said: “If it brings just one child home, it will be worthwhile.” The Senate passed the measure in May. It now goes to President Reagan for his signature.
