Datapower Reports Loss of $320,000 for Quarter

Datapower Inc. reported a loss of $320,000 for the first fiscal quarter, ended June 30, compared with a profit of $74,000 for the same period a year earlier. The Santa Ana manufacturer of power supplies for computer and lighting systems had revenues of $1.8 million for the quarter, down 57% from $4.2 million in the year-earlier quarter. The loss was attributed to a decline in the personal computer market.
