Swiss Trade Deficit Rises to $398 Million in July

BERN, Switzerland —
The trade deficit in July widened to 902.7 million francs, or about $398 million, from a revised June deficit of 641.8 million francs, according to a report from the Federal Office of Industry, Trade and Labor.
The July deficit was also wider than the deficit of 856 million francs posted a year earlier.
Imports totaled 6.66 billion francs in July, up from a total of 6.29 billion francs in June. Exports were calculated at 5.76 billion francs, up from 5.65 billion francs in June.
