Curtis Near Etchells-22 World Title
Dave Curtis of Marblehead, Mass., held on to his lead in the Etchells-22 world championship regatta Friday and with one race to go appeared to be headed for his second title in the class.
In the best four-of-five races, Curtis has 29.7 penalty points under the Olympic scoring system to 42.7 for runner-up Dirk Kneulman of Canada. Kneulman was the winner in Friday’s race.
