White Australians Told to ‘Go Home’
The white people of Australia and New Zealand are the product of the riffraff, flotsam and jetsam of British culture and should return to the lands of their ancestors, a New Zealand Maori scholar said Wednesday.
Whites are visitors who have overstayed their welcome, Pauno Hohepa, a lecturer at Auckland University, told the annual congress of the Australian and New Zealand Assn. for the Advancement of Science. She proposed that the 18 million whites of the two overwhelmingly white countries return to their ancestral lands.
“We once held all the land. I represent those who are no longer content with a slice of bread--we want the whole loaf,” Hohepa said.
