Wind, Rain, Snow in Iran

NICOSIA, Cyprus —
Iran’s official news agency said that 50-m.p.h. winds uprooted trees and cut power lines in Ahwaz, capital of the southern oil province of Khuzistan. Meanwhile, snow fell at Maigoon, 25 miles northeast of Tehran--unprecedented weather for August. Rain flooded streets in the northern outskirts of Tehran.
