Anti-Satellite Test

There is one very practical aspect of testing anti-satellite weapons that has not received sufficient public attention. When an object is destroyed in Earth orbit, every fragment becomes a deadly weapon, moving at high velocity and capable of piercing the skin of a satellite or other space vehicle.

Thus, the unfortunate result of anti-satellite tests is to make space more dangerous for all users.
