Seattle Slew, the 1977 Triple Crown winner, was moved from Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Ky., to Three Chimneys Farm in nearby Midway.

Seattle Slew is one of the most valuable horses in the world with an estimated worth of $120 million.

Sources told UPI that the syndicate, which owns Seattle Slew, was concerned about the future of Spendthrift Farm after Leslie Combs and his son sold their 63.7% interest for more than $52 million to Manuel D. Mayerson, who made his fortune in real estate development.
