Teacher Raises OKd: Teachers in the Garden Grove Unified School District have received a 6% raise in a contract approved by the school board. The Garden Grove Education Assn., representing 1,700 employees, including teachers, librarians and nurses, is in the second year of a three-year contract that allows for annual renegotiation of wages. Tuesday’s agreement also covers about 80 employees of the Garden Grove Pupil Personnel Services Assn., which includes counselors, psychologists and speech pathologists. The board also granted a 6% salary increase to its management employees.
