Glen Bolsters Office Presence in Fox Hills

Share

The Fox Hills section of Culver City, once known primarily for its highly successful shopping mall and upscale condominiums, has also become one of the more active office areas in the Los Angeles basin.

A case in point is The Glen at Corporate Pointe, a $50-million, 200,000-square-foot office development by Equidon in joint venture with State Farm Life Insurance Co., that has just opened with its twin five-story buildings 50% leased.

Designed by Herbert Nadel, AIA & Partners, Santa Monica, the hilltop development near the intersection of the San Diego and Marina freeways is a study in contrasts, with a one-acre landscaped courtyard separating the white-concrete and blue-green glass-clad buildings. The courtyard features seasonal landscaping, a 10-level cascading fountain and rolling berms. A putting green is also included.

Canteen Corp., Chicago, will operate Bannister’s Cafe & Deli at the courtyard level, eliminating the need to drive away from the development at lunch time.

Tenants include Computervision Corp., State Farm Automobile Insurance Co., AMI and Continental Health Affiliates Inc., Professional Computer Resources, Landmark Systems Corp and Software Systems Co.
