Jon E. Nicholson has joined the Ross Company as its director of finance and accounting. The position is a new one. Nicholson, 27, had been controller for the J. D. Stout Company in Irvine prior to joining the Newport Beach development firm.

The Ross Company has been expanding its building program into west Riverside and San Diego counties, and opened its 69-unit April Pointe development in Corona in June.
