The U.S. battleship Iowa is to enter the Baltic on the first voyage there by a ship of its class since World War II, a U.S. Embassy official said Friday.

The Iowa, which carries Harpoon and Tomahawk missiles, will arrive in Copenhagen Sept. 27 and later take part in naval maneuvers with other NATO countries in the Baltic, a strategic area for both NATO and the Warsaw Pact.
