Arco bought Phillips’ share in an offshore field.

The Los Angeles-based oil company bought the remaining 25% stake in the Coal Oil Point Field project off Santa Barbara from Phillips Petroleum. Phillips sold the five leases as part of an effort to reduce the company’s debt. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
