RB Industries reported a loss for its fiscal year ended June 30 of $16.98 million, up from the $2.68-million loss it reported a year earlier. The loss for fiscal 1985 includes $8.6 million in charges resulting primarily from the disposal of facilities. Also, the liquidation of excess inventories in its W&J; Sloane division and markdowns taken in the RB Furniture division resulted in substantially lower-than-normal gross profit margins in fiscal 1985.
